Bikeability – Year 6

Lunch Accounts
Lunch Accounts
We understand that there have been a number of technical faults with the local authority on-line school meal payment system. We have now been informed that all is now up and running, so please can we ask that any outstanding payments are made to top up your child’s accounts as necessary. Should you need any information about your account, of course just contact us at school.

Arthog
Arthog
Many thanks for those that have sent in their reply slips for our Year 5/6 residential trip to Arthog in June. For those who have not yet replied could we ask that you email the school office by the end of half term and let us know if your child would like to take up a place or not. Many thanks
Uniform
Uniform
A reminder of our uniform –
- Children should wear sweatshirts or cardigans in royal blue bearing the school badge.
- White polo shirts should be worn beneath the sweatshirts or cardigans, and we encourage these to be shirts with the school badge.
- Children should wear grey trousers, shorts, skirts or pinafores with these.
- In the summer, cotton dresses in the school colour may be worn and polo shirts can be worn without sweatshirts or cardigans.
- Trainers are not to be worn as part of school uniform.
- Sensible shoes, not boots, are to be worn. These should be dark coloured, have flat soles and should be a waterproof material.
- Jewellery should not be worn other than watches and stud earrings. This jewellery is the responsibility of the children to look after.
- No make-up should be worn by children in school.
- Long hair should be tied back.
Clothes for PE
- For PE children should have; a blue polo shirt, preferably with the school badge so they can wear this when representing the school, blue shorts, a change of socks, pumps and trainers for outdoor P.E.
- During the winter (from October half-term to the end of the spring term), a tracksuit may also be worn.
- No jewellery is to be worn in P.E. A pupil can wear plasters over stud earrings for the first six weeks after having their ears pierced (therefore, we would advise arranging this for a holiday period to reduce the need for this in term time).
- For swimming, children will need an appropriate kit for girls this will be a one piece swimming costume, for boys shorts or trunks but the shorts should not be too baggy to impede swimming. Goggles would also be very useful. Children will need a towel and should have a bag to keep wet kit separate from dry.
A change of footwear should be provided through the winter (from October half-term to the end of the spring term) for lunchtimes so pupils can have access to the playing field.
Farewell to Mr Cureton
Farewell to Mr Cureton
Today was our lovely Caretakers last day. Mr Cureton is off for a well earned rest, along with a basket of gifts to keep him going. Thank you Paul, we will all miss you!!
Allergies and Lunches
Allergies and Lunches
We would like to remind everyone that we do have a pupil in school with a nut allergy. Could we ask that parents avoid packing any items in lunches that contain nuts.
Could we also give a reminder that packed lunches are not stored in a fridge when they come into school so any items that really do need refrigerating should be avoided
Lunch Accounts
Lunch Accounts
We understand that there have been IT problems with the Telford and Wrekin lunch account system. Not only has the Balance Checker been out of action for a while, it has also been difficult to make payments. Please keep checking the site as it is hoped that the problems will be resolved soon.
Please note – when we return after half term it will be Week 3 on the menu
Used Uniform Sale – Recheduled
Used Uniform Sale – Recheduled
Due to high winds this afternoon this event did not go ahead. The plan is to reschedule this to after school on our first day back, Monday, 28th February. Hopefully, the weather will be a lot kinder and much better for shopping!
This is a really great initiative – helping to reduce waste and saves money!
